SAMU Language School Refund Policy

1. Purpose

These regulations are established as standards for returning expenses paid by entrance applicants and those enrolled at SAMU Language School.

2.Subject fees and period of delivery

Application fee:
To be delivered after receiving admission permission and before the designated deadline.
Admission fee:
To be delivered from when a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status is issued until the designated deadline.
Facilities fee:
(1) When enrolling, it shall be delivered within the period from when a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status is issued until the designated deadline.
(2) Regardless of attendance at the time of enrollment, it must be delivered by the designated deadline.
Supplementary materials fee:
(1) When enrolling, it shall be delivered within the period from when a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status is issued until the designated deadline.
(2) Regardless of attendance at the time of enrollment, it must be delivered by the designated deadline.
Course fee:
(1) When enrolling, it shall be delivered within the period from when a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status is issued until the designated deadline.
(2) Regardless of attendance at the time of enrollment, it must be delivered by the designated deadline.
International student insurance fee:
(1) When enrolling, it shall be delivered within the period from when a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status is issued until the designated deadline.
(2) Regardless of attendance at the time of enrollment, it must be delivered by the designated deadline.

3.Refund of payment

  1. The application fee will not be refunded those who are not granted a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status.
  2. Those who are granted a Certificate of Eligibility for Resident Status but come to Japan without applying for an entry visa will have all payments refunded excluding the application fee and admission fee.
  3. Those who apply for an entry visa at an overseas consulate but are unable to come to Japan will have all payments refunded excluding the application fee and admission fee.
  4. Those who obtain an entry visa but turn down enrollment before coming to Japan will have all payments refunded excluding the application fee and admission fee.
  5. Those who obtain an entry visa but turn down enrollment before the enrollment date but after coming to Japan will have all payments refunded excluding the application fee and admission fee.
  6. hose who obtain an entry visa, come to Japan, and turn down enrollment after the enrollment date will not have their application fee, admission fee, facilities fee, supplementary materials fee, or international student insurance fee refunded.
    The refund will purely be the course fees for the semesters (3-month periods).

4.Refund of payment due to withdrawal

Course fees are broken up by semester, and a refund shall be given for the semesters after the withdrawal notification is received.

5.Refund of payment due to being expelled

As a general rule, no refund will be issued for students expelled as per school regulations.

6.Supplementary provision

These regulations are effective as of April 1, 2017.
