Long-term(21-month) course

I value "students learning" more than "efficiency", and that's why I chose SAMU.

I've been a fan of Japanese culture, scenery, and cuisine since I was a child.
The first time I laid eyes on cherry blossoms, the beauty caused my need to live in Japan to grow even stronger.
I visited a number of language schools during my second trip to Japan, but at that time I wasn't able to speak much Japanese.
Staff at other schools would explain things in English, but at SAMU they spoke slowly and politely, all in Japanese.
I have no problem understanding English, but that doesn't help me improve my Japanese.
By patiently explaining to me in Japanese, I decided SAMU was definitely the better choice for me.
And with that, I decided to enroll here.

I find Japanese, and Japan as a whole, to be deeply inspiring.

I used to work as a musician in London.
I came to Japan because I love it here, but it is also full of activity and opportunity.
The style and tone of Japanese instruments are truly exciting, and can motivate creation.
The music world in Japan is actually thriving, with many chances to prove yourself.
It's an attractive prospect to know that there's a high probability of supporting myself and finding success as a musician.
I'm currently concentrating on learning Japanese with the desire of one day writing lyrics in Japanese.
The discoveries I make in class always fuel my desire to study more, and as such I'm doing my best to move up to the advanced classes and continue learning.

*Individual account.

You should get into the mindset that all documents required to set up your life here, such as those for opening a bank account or setting up public utilities such as electricity or gas, should be done entirely in Japanese.
The staff at SAMU will help you complete these.
