This year's disaster prevention drill was held at Toyama Park.
Under the early-summer sun, students engaged in hands-on training including fire-extinguishing drills, a smoke-simulator house, and an earthquake simulation vehicle. We were impressed to see the students working on the fire extinguishers with beads of sweat on their foreheads.
As Japan is a disaster-prone country, this day’s training will surely come to use in case of emergency.
Our gratitude goes to the Fire Department, Shinjuku Municipal Disaster Prevention Center, and Toyama Park Service Center for their cooperation.
