Joint-Entrance Ceremony of April and July Students. 2022

2022.07.01

Since the official end of the rainy season, extremely hot weather has continued.
The billowing iridocumulus clouds also show signs of summer in the sky.

Today was the long-awaited entrance ceremony day.
This ceremony has been kept on hold for the past few years due to the pandemic.
Though students finally started entering Japan to start their studies this year, their arrival timings were scattered.
Now, all the new students are finally able to congregate with a fresh feeling of hope.

One of the unique features of SAMU's entrance ceremony is the self-introduction by new students.
Some express their determination to progress on to higher education or find a job, others talk about their yearning for Japanese culture, and still others sing a part of a song in Japanese.
These short but passionate performances filled the hall with an enthusiasm quite unusual to school ceremonies.

We are glad that you were able to make this first step towards your goals.
Let us all continue working for our dreams.

Congratulations on your entrance!
